The SOWA Pro Wireless Portable PA Speakers make setting up sound for events with SOWA Pro is easy, simple and fast. SOWA speakers offer a 100% wireless stereo portable speaker system.

SOWA speakers connect wirelessly, and come with 25 hours of built-in battery life. Simply put one speaker in “host mode” and the rest in “join” – and enjoy a professional wireless PA setup. SOWA Pro is a PA loudspeaker with all the capabilities known from traditional PA, but as easy to use as a home speaker. Professional audio, made easy.

Designed for your event: SOWA Pro is designed so you can finally set up sound for your event without compromising on aesthetics. We have deep roots in the Nordic design tradition, and only use sustainable wood.

Small Size. Great sound experience: SOWA puts an end to heavy lifting and cumbersome set-up. A speaker can easily be carried in one hand and weighs just 6kg.

Don’t be fooled by the compact size. SOWA is an efficient speaker with an impressive sound level for its size.

Ergonomic set-up: The grip at the bottom and the small size make it easy to move the speaker around, so you can place it exactly where you want. Alongside the grip at the bottom, you will also find a hole in the cabinet that fits all standard 35 mm speaker stands. However, you can also use SOWA’s own simple and lightweight stand, which supports the design and provides the perfect stability for the speaker.

SOWA Pro is built from 180 layers of the highest quality plywood, providing both great sound and a beautiful exterior.

SOWA Pro has a standard 35 mm hole for standard speaker stands at the bottom of the cabinet.

Sound to speech and music: We have made it easy to adapt the speaker’s sound to both microphones and music. At a single button, you can adjust the sound to your type of microphone, and make sure that event guests always have a great sound experience. The SOWA Pro takes 3 different inputs:

Audio:

6 “woofer from SB Acoustics with a sensitivity of 89.5 dB (2.83 V / 1 m) and a compact large surround 30W dome tweeter with a sensitivity of 88.5 dB (2.83 V / 1 m). They offer a frequency span from 60 Hz to 20 kHz ± 3 dB.
Speakers can be set to play left, right, or a mono sum.
Dedicated DSP, active crossover and effective protection circuits.
Volume / gain control on Minijack and XLR ports.
The SOWA speaker is voiced to perfection by skilled audio professionals at the old B&O test facilities at Soundhub Denmark.

Inputs can be mixed in two ways: Bluetooth and XLR (Pro only), or Blutooth and Minijack. The Bluetooth signal is sidechain-compressed to the XLR and Minijack ports.

Controls:

Control local volumes on each speaker
Choose between left, right, or mono sum on each speaker.
Adjust delay setting on each speaker (0 – 300 milliseconds)
Three microphone signal-chain settings (EQ, gate, compression) presets on the XLR input: choose between no processing, a preset for handheld microphones, and a preset for headset microphones
App ready: the SOWA system is prepared for later launch of a companion app (iOS and Android). The app will allow advanced users to control the systems DSP settings, local speaker volume settings, microphone presets controls, etc.

SOWA – Anyone Can Turn Up the Volume

All the way back in 2012, SOWA-founders Andreas and Villads met at the Danish Technical University (DTU). While studying, Andreas was working with large events and had set up countless sound systems, including while touring with massive Danish artists around the country. Villads was always passionate about tech startups, and helped develop Airtame 2, a wireless screen sharing solution. During an innovation course at DTU, the stars aligned as the two friends came up with the concept for a wireless PA speaker system – and SOWA was born.

With the backing of major players in Danish audio, including investors and board members from TC Electronics and Dynaudio, Andreas and Villads launched the groundbreaking low-latency wireless speaker SOWA Pro during the summer of 2021, and the simpler, home-use version, SOWA, the following summer.

At SOWA, we want to disrupt the limits of traditional sound systems. Everyone should be able to set up sound, whether it is for events or at home on the patio. SOWA’s mission is to make it easy for everyone to set up sound regardless of technical experience. We also believe, with our roots in Danish design tradition, that speakers shouldn’t only be wireless and simple to use – they should also be beautiful and contribute aesthetically to the surroundings.
